You may or may not like Hillary Clinton, but if you are a woman, you owe her a debt of gratitude.
Because of Hillary, the idea of having a woman president is, for the first time in our nation’s history, truly imaginable. Though some disliked her, no one thought she was unqualified. No one thought she was weak. No one thought she was stupid. No one thought people wouldn’t listen to her. No one thought that she couldn’t get things done.
Hillary made the idea of a woman president not merely thinkable but unquestionable. We all owe her for that.
To show our appreciation, let’s pay her campaign debt.
It doesn’t matter whether you supported her in the campaign, whether you like her or dislike her, whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican. The point is to merely say thank you for opening the door of opportunity a little wider for every girl in America and for making the promise of human equality a little more real.
Think about what that’s worth to you—$1, $5, $10, $25, $100, more?—and then pay up. Think of it as a collective thank you gift from the women of America.
